MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

A deal to save the historic Nineteenth Century Club is in the works.

Lawyers representing a group of club members seeking to save the historic building say the parties involved reached a tentative agreement during a mediation session this week.

The club building on Union Avenue was sold to investors in Arkansas. They planned to demolish the building.

The new plan is to sell the building to a Nashville based investor who would turn it into a restaurant.

All parties will be in court Monday.
