MONTGOMERY, Minn. (KMSP) -

Four people, including an 11-year-old girl, are dead after a head-on collision in south central Minnesota.

Minnesota State Patrol said the crash occurred around 10 p.m. Friday about four miles west of Montgomery in Le Sueur County.

Officials say 22-year-old Jeffery Miller was traveling east on County Road 26 when he and an SUV driven by 51-year-old Condon Hulgan collided.

State Troopers said Hulgan was driving a Ford Explorer when it crossed the center line at an S curve in the road and collided head-on with a Mercedes Benz in the opposite lane. Hulgan's 11-year-old step-daughter Mary Urtuzuasregui was also in the SUV and died along with him at the scene.

Jeffery Miller died at the scene, as did his passenger, 24-year-old Travis Reak. Another passenger, Jeffery Miller's older brother Mark Miller, 24, was taken to a Robbinsdale hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The men were not wearing seat belts.

Urtuzuasregui was a 6th grader at Most Holy Redeemer school in Montgomery, and principal Mindy Reeder told FOX 9 News the young girl and her step father were on their way back home from the Tri City United homecoming game when the accident happened.

The damages were so severe that there are still visible scorch marks on a portion of Lexington Road.

"It was our homecoming game and they were going home after the game just a couple blocks from their house," Reeder said. "She was in our Singing Angels choir, she was in our sports groups."

Reeder met with the 11-year-old's mom and other family members on Saturday for a prayer vigil at their home.

The Miller brothers are graduates of Le Center High School.

"These young men are friends and family of our teachers, of our parents, of our community -- it's a tragedy for the whole Tri City area," Reeder said.

The portion of Lexington Road where the incident occurred is an S curve and has no lights at night, and the speed limit is 55. State Patrol investigators say it's too early to tell if speed or alcohol were involved, but troopers say there have been no major accidents like this along the area.
