Plumber who helped Dr. Oz save tourist fired after job allegedly tires of media attention

Posted: Updated:

Some may remember when Doctor Oz came to the rescue of a British tourist in New York after a taxi jumped a side-walk.

Doctor Oz and a plumber jumped into action when the taxi severed the tourist's leg.

The plumber was called a hero for using his work belt as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

Now, that plumber has been fired.

David Justino says it was all because of his actions.

His company did not give an official reason but Justino says his bosses were sick of the media attention.
