Miss. woman pleads not guilty to kidnapping

EAST MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

An East Mississippi woman has pleaded not guilty to federal charges in connection to the kidnapping of a six year old girl.

Jesse Mae Brown Pollard is one of seven people charged with the plot to kidnap the girl and pressure the child's mother in a land dispute.

The little girl was taken from East Kemper Elementary School in April. She turned up unharmed the next day after she was released.

Pollard's son, Devonta Pollard who is a former basketball player at the University of Alabama has also been named in an indictment in this case.

He withdrew from the school over the summer after he was arrested.
