A judge has issued a gag order as prosecutors pursue a murder charge against a teenager charged with killing an 11-year-old girl near Gosnell.
The order came after a Friday hearing in which a lawyer for the accused 17-year-old asked that police, lawyers and others involved in the case be prohibited from discussing it publicly.
The victim, Jessica Williams, was found dead in a ditch on Aug. 28. She'd last been seen the evening before playing with her dog outside her father's home near Gosnell.
The teenager was arrested Aug. 29 on suspicion of first-degree murder.
The Associated Press is not naming the teen because he has not been formally charged in Williams' death.
