Motrin infant drops recall

Posted: Updated:
MYFOXNY.COM -

McNeil Consumer Healthcare is voluntarily recalling some bottles of MOTRIN liquid drops from wholesalers and retailers in the United States because of the possibility of contamination by small plastic particles.

The company said the small plastic pieces, about the size of poppy seeds, were found in a different product lot that wasn't released to market. The company said it traced the plastic pieces to a shipment from a third-party supplier of ibuprofen, the active medicine in Motrin.

If you have a recalled product you should stop using it and dispose of it.

If you have any questions, you can call customer care at 877-414-7709. If you have any health questions you should contact your doctor.

This is the recalled product with the specific lot numbers and UPCs: Concentrated MOTRIN Infants' Drops Original Berry Flavor 1/2 fl oz bottles NDC 50580-100-18 ; lot numbers: DCB3T01, DDB4R01, DDB4S01; UPC: 300450524157.

One of the most surprising findings in a report from the New York City public advocate is that city officials have virtually no authority over how nail salons are run. The city can't enforce standards like they do with restaurants, so it's clearly a case of beauty buyer beware. We get our nails done without thinking too much about it.
