Is it time to pay college athletes? The schools and their governing body, the NCAA, make hundreds of millions of dollars every year off athletes, especially football and basketball players, through ticket sales, TV rights, and licensing their likenesses.
And the athletes don't make a dime.
Sure, their scholarships cover tuition, room and board, and books, but that amount still falls well short of the real cost of college.
