BARTLETT, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Three men face jail time following an altercation at a Bartlett Walmart that left a police officer and suspect injured.

A Bartlett police officer received a call about shoplifters at the Walmart on Highway 64. When they were driving away, Bartlett police say the officer attempted to stop them; the suspects then hit him with their car.

Police say the officer fired his gun at the car, hitting the driver in the arm. The suspect ran into the store yelling he was shot by a cop, according to Bartlett police.

Bartlett police arrested and charged Travarius Jones, 37; Damien Hollis, 34; Harold Thompson, 39. All three are charged with numerous charges including Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Theft Over $500.

Jones, the driver who police say struck the officer with his vehicle, is charged with Aggravated Assault. As of Sunday evening, he remains at the Med in stable condition. Hollis and Thompson are in custody at the Bartlett City Jail.

The officer who was struck by the suspect's car was treated and released from the hospital.

This case is still under investigation by Bartlett police.
