DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Orpheum Theatre President and CEO Pat Halloran was "in-duck-ted" Tuesday into the Peabody Hotel's Duck Walk Hall of Fame.

The famed hotel also celebrated its 144th birthday with an Orpheum-themed cake in its Grand Lobby. The STAX Music Academy also performed at the hotel's anniversary.

The Peabody's Duck Walk Hall of Fame was created in 1996 to recognize those who have made significant contributions to Downtown Memphis. The commemorative plaques from the Hall of Fame are located in the sidewalk surrounding The Peabody and feature duck footprints along with the name of the honoree.

The first recipient was Belz family patriarch Phillip Belz. Subsequent inductees are Jack Belz, Henry Turley, Gary Belz, John Dudas, Danny Thomas, Mayor Willie Herenton, Mayor Jim Rout, Marty Belz, Dick Hackett, Kevin Kane, Bernard Lansky, J.R. Pitt Hyde, Elvis Presley, Ron Belz, John Moore, and Mayor A C Wharton.
