It took and extra 12 hours, but two buses carrying more than a hundred Detroiters finally made it back from Washington, DC Sunday. One woman showed us her charred iPad after the charter bus she was riding in caught fire. Passengers tell us they heard a noise and saw smoke. Next thing they knew, the bus went up in flames. Thankfully, everyone managed to escape.

Saturday, there was an accident involving several busses including one from Detroit. We're told one of the drivers was traveling too close to the other buses. Nine people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Some missed the march on the National Mall. Still, the group says it was well worth the trip to mark this important moment in history.

"Just being in that moment was incredible," said Rev. Charles Williams II. "I felt like I stepped back a few generations like to be where my grandparents were when they were there."

We contacted Turner Tours, the company that owns the charter buses used for the Washington, DC trip. We wanted to get their take on the accident and what caused the fire. But, the company says it's not commenting on the mishaps. We're told passengers will be reimbursed for property damage.
