ARIZONA CITY, Ariz. -

A 20-year-old man and his 31-year-old uncle were arrested after allegedly burglarizing a home in their neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.

Pinal County Sheriff's deputies received a call about a burglary at a home near Cleator Road and Troy Drive.

When they arrived, deputies say one of them immediately started running after a suspect who ran through an alleyway behind the home.

Coreno Griffin was caught and taken into custody.

Deputies say they looked into the home, saw another suspect, Brandon Murphy, inside and told him to come out.

Murphy, who is also Griffin's uncle, allegedly jumped out a back window and ran away.

He was caught and arrested shortly after.

Deputies say the men live in the same neighborhood as the home they were burglarizing. Their garage door was open and allegedly contained items the men had stolen.

"When detectives interviewed Griffin, he told him his uncle (Murphy) asked him if he wanted to go break into a house and he agreed. The two men then went to a neighbor's home, climbed the fence and forced open a back window. Once inside they began to steal ammunition and other items," said PCSO Sheriff Paul Babeu.

Murphy and Griffin were both booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, Theft and Criminal Damage.

Deputies are investigating other crimes in the area to see if they're linked to the suspects.
