Woman detained in critical hit and run

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

Today at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers responded to a Hit and Run call at Farmville and Highland.
 
Upon arriving on the scene, officers located 29 year old Vincent Scullark who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The victim was transported to the Regional Medical Center in extremely critical condition where he was later pronounced deceased. Officers were advised that witnesses heard a disturbance outside and when witnesses checked on what the commotion was, they located the victim lying on the ground. A white Lincoln with a red or burgundy top was seen leaving the scene. The driver of the vehicle was described as a black female.
 
At approximately 10:30 a.m., officers located a female, in the 1400 block of Locust, who may have occupied the vehicle during the hit and run. The vehicle was located in the 3000 block of Mt. Olive..
 
The suspect and the victim are said to know each other.
 
The female has been detained for further investigation.
