On her way to pick her son up at the Shelby County Juvenile Court, FOX13 News exclusively spoke with the mother of the 16-year-old boy accused of raping an 18-year-old female student at East High School on Wednesday.
"He's been released. Charges been dropped. They never reported what kind of son I got. He's a good boy," says the mother. She declined to speak further, referring FOX 13 to their attorney.

FOX13 News reached out to the attorney via phone and e-mail, but did not hear back as of Friday night.
According to an affidavit, the 16-year-old boy raped an 18-year-old girl in a stairway at East High School as she was trying to eat her lunch. The affidavit reads that the boy asked the female student for oral sex, slapped her twice and "drug her across the floor."
The 18-year-old went to the hospital with abdominal pain and named the 16-year-old as her attacker, according to the affidavit.
