Bears sign quarterback Jordan Palmer

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Third string quarterback Matt Blanchard broke his knuckle in Thursday night's game against the Chargers, so the Bears signed quarterback Jordan Palmer on Friday.

A former Jaguars and Bengals backup, Palmer worked out for the Bears in June alongside JaMarcus Russell and Trent Edwards, but some say the Bears hope the step the offense took against the Chargers means Palmer won't see the field.

We'll have to wait and see.

Palmer is the brother of Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer.
