MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

The New Daisy Theatre, 330 Beale Street, is proud to host Ronnie McDowell and The Florida Boys on Wednesday, August 14. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for this all-ages, seated show. Advance General Admission tickets are $26 and on sale through ticketweb.com.

On Ronnie McDowell:
Ronnie McDowell has been the voice of Elvis Presley in every major movie and television series since Elvis' passing.

Following the death of Elvis Presley in 1977, Ronnie McDowell came out of nowhere to dazzle the world with his heartfelt and self-penned tribute song "The King Is Gone" on the independent Scorpion label. The record took off immediately, gaining airplay on country and pop stations across the country and around the world. To date, "The King Is Gone" has sold more than 5 Million copies.

McDowell quickly proved that he wasn't just a one-trick pony by producing an impressive discography with dozens of Top 100 hit singles through the years.

While Elvis Presley has played a big part in Ronnie McDowell's musical career over the years, Ronnie continues to entertain audiences with his own blend of romantic intimacy and country excitement! He looks great, he sounds great, and judging from the longtime adoration of his fans, he seems to grow better with each passing year!

On The Florida Boys:

With No. 1 hits like "Standing On The Solid Rock", "When He Was On The Cross, I Was On His Mind", "Lead Me To The Altar" and "I Lean On You Lord", this legendary group has recorded some 100 albums and attained a following of devoted listeners, including the late Elvis Presley.

The Florida Boys appeared on the first gospel quartet concert ever held in New York's Carnegie Hall, which is universally recognized as the zenith of one's career.

In July 2007, the original Florida Boys (Les Beasley, Glen Allred and Derrell Stewart) retired after 60 years, singing their last song together as The Florida Boys in September at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY. It was at this performance, before 10,000 fans, these three legends passed the mantel to the present group to continue the Florida Boys legacy.
