Need a swift kick in the rear to get yourself motivated during a workout? Get in line. But gym rats are getting help from (what else) apps.
One app is called Zombies, Run! Users have to outrun a pack of zombies.
Here's another one: Fitocracy. We talked to the apps founder, Brian Wang, about why someone would need an app to get motivated to workout. He said it allows you to keep track of your progress and helps get you into it. You can also connect with other people, getting a little encouragement from them too, while comparing your stats.
Makes sense, so I signed up. There's even a 15 minute beginners workout with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I don't think I need that.
