$300 million Powerball jackpot for Saturday

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The current estimated jackpot of the Powerball lottery is $300M after no one matched the winning numbers drawn earlier this week.

The $65,000,000 jump from Wednesday's jackpot is due to brisk sales across all Powerball states.

The big prize is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball.

The multi-state lottery is played in 43 States including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut along with Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands.

The next drawing is Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

The largest Powerball jackpot was $5990.5 million, won in Florida in May 2013.
