Lottery Winner Off The Grid Tonight

UPPER DARBY, Pa. -

"What?!?!?!?"

That's the reaction most had.

"Are you serious??" says another.

We told residents of this Upper Darby neighborhood that one of their neighbors just hit it big, really big.

"Congratulations. Whoever you are. I didn't know I lived so close," says another.

Lottery officials confirmed Patricia Chandler of Upper Darby won the June 22nd Powerball jackpot of 131.5 million dollars. She opted for a one time 77.4 million dollar payout.

We went to Chandler's home to get reaction from the areas newest millionaire. She wasn't home, so we went to neighbors who say that she hasn't been around for at least a few weeks.

"Wow, I'm so happy for her," says Tanya Crew, a neighbor.

Tanya Crew lives a couple doors down from Chandler, but rarely sees her.

"I've seen her once or twice and I've lived here for 4 years," says Crew.

Chandler was nowhere to be found, so we went back to where she bought her winning ticket, a two dollar quick pick. She bought it on Thursday, June 20th at Federal Beer in South Philly.

So I asked the clerk.

"Has she shown her face back here yet?"

"No. No."

"She didn't come back to tip you?"

"No."

"You hope so right?"

"Yes I hope so," he quips.

We found out that she works about a block away at a local social services agency. Probably worked is the better term. Not surprisingly, she's quit her job.

"Would you quit your job?" I asked someone there.

"More than likely yes," she replies.

Patricia Chandler apparently is off the grid enjoying her new winnings, no doubt. But in case you're watching,

"Pat call me.. you know me," says a neighbor.

You may have some new friends, Patricia.

"Hopefully she'll give me a call so she can buy a new house. Tanya Crew the realtor for you girl if you are listening..."
