Posted: Updated:
NEWNAN, Ga. -

The search for a missing 78-year-old Coweta County woman is expected to continue Monday. Eleanor T. Alexander, who may have dementia, has not been seen since early Saturday morning.

FOX 5 News first reported on Saturday that Alexander was last seen about 1 a.m. on Providence Church Road in Newnan. She wore a pink shirt, as well as matching pink-and-white stripe pajama pants.

She is described as being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing about 105 pounds, with a thin build. She has blue eyes and white hair.

Alexander may have dementia and may not respond to her name. She may also answer to the 'Aria' or 'Nana.'

Hundreds of volunteers came together on Sunday to help search for her.

The active search for her was called off late Saturday night, but resumed on Sunday morning.
Volunteers spent the day combing through the woods near the area she was last seen. Police K9 units and a helicopter were brought in to assist those on the ground.

Anyone who spots her are asked to call 911.
