MARION, Ark. (FOX13) -

Police in the Mid-South are searching for convicted rapist Stanley James Carter of West Memphis, Ark., who skipped out on his trail in Crittenden County Circuit Court in Marion.

He was out on bond before the trial.

When the 46-year-old defendant failed to show up for court Wednesday, the trial continued and after deliberation a jury found Carter guilty on three charges of rape.

Upon checking his West Memphis home, law enforcement said he had not been seen since Tuesday evening.

Crittenden County Crimestoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. You are urged to call 1-870-732-4444.
