George H.W. Bush shaves head for young leukemia patient

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS, Texas (FOX13) -

Former President George H.W. Bush shaved his head earlier this week to show support for the son of a member of his security detail who is battling cancer.

A spokesman tweeted out photos of the 41st president on Wednesday afternoon showing Bush with Patrick, the 2-year-old leukemia patient.

Bush's entire security detail has also shaven their heads to show support for Patrick.

The Bush family does have a link to the battle against leukemia – they lost a child in 1953 to the disease.
