Southbound lanes on the Bishop Ford Expressway were briefly shut down Wednesday morning as crews worked to clear a jackknifed semi-truck from the roadway, according to the Illinois State Police.
The shut down began about 6:50 a.m. and was expected to last only about 10 minutes, state police said.
About 6:30 a.m. the semi truck jackknifed in the southbound lanes near Sibley Boulevard, state police said.
The accident did not result in life-threatening injuries. State police said crews were working to clear the truck and debris in the roadway as a result of the crash.
