CHESTER, Pa. -

Two children were killed and a third suffered extensive burns during an early-morning fire that ripped through a Chester home.

Two girls, ages 6 and 9, were pronounced dead at the scene Wednesday.

A 4-year-old boy was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center with extensive burns to his body.

Four firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze on the 900 block of East 15th Street.

The fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. and quickly escalated to two alarms.  Early reports indicate that the fire broke out on the first floor and smoke detectors could be heard coming from the house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

FOX 29's Stacey Stauffer filed her report live from the scene Wednesday morning for Good Day.
