The tax review board heard a challenge tonight from two gentlemen's clubs.
They were hit with bills for back taxes totaling more than $800,000.
They say the city amusement tax is already applied to the clubs' admission fees, and a levy on lap dances amounts to taxing the same thing twice.
The mayor's office says the amusement tax should apply and denies accusations that the tax is a money grab.
Wildfire danger continues into Thursday evening with low humidities and dry conditions. Winds continue to gust close to 30 mph.
Flames are tearing through a South Jersey forest right now, and this wildfire is only expected to grow.
