MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -

A Middle Tennessee State University football player is facing serious charges after a video surfaced of him allegedly choking his girlfriend while two teammates watched.

The victim told MTSU police it happened last November.

The player, J.D. Jones, is a defensive tackle for the Blue Raiders.

On Monday investigators say said they have a copy of the video that shows the woman pleading with Jones to stop choking her, first with his hands, then with his arm.

Jones was charged with two counts of domestic aggravated assault on Saturday.

Cornerback Rodney O'Neal and defensive tackle Marcus Robinson were charged with two counts of aiding and abetting.

Middle Tennessee has suspended the players.
