Junior golfers from around the country are getting the chance of a lifetime. The Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach allows young players to play alongside the legends of the game.
This year marks the 10th anniversary for the tournament and the Memphis chapter of First Tee is heading out west to show the rest of the country how it's done.
But for members of First Tee Memphis, it's about a lot more than just winning on the golf course.
Nyrone Hawkins and Malik Luckett visited FOX13 News studios to talk about the golf tournament and a fundraiser on Monday, July 22 called The Day After The British Open at TPC Southwind.
First Tee is offering Mid-Southerners the chance to take a swing on the same greens that hosts the annual FedEx St. Jude Classic. The "After British Open" fundraiser includes a light breakfast, 18 holes with a cart and lunch. The cost is $135 for an individual and $500 for a foursome.
Registration and the range open at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
