TALLAHASSEE (AP) - About 100 protesters are staging a sit-in at the office of Florida Gov. Rick Scott over the verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman.

The group vowed to stay in Scott's office overnight.

Protesters say they want Scott to call a special session and ask legislators to change laws that they say harm blacks. 1 of the laws they want repealed is the state's "stand your ground" law that allows someone to use deadly force if they believe their life is in danger.

Ciara Taylor from Jacksonville said the group was "standing" its ground on behalf of Trayvon Martin and for "justice." Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges Saturday in Martin's death.

The protesters first gathered on the steps of the historic Capitol building, then went over to Scott's office.
