At noon Friday in front of the "I Love Memphis" mural in the Cooper-Young district in midtown Memphis 59 people broke a world record for brushing teeth in a circle.
The record-breaking try was not sponsored by dentists but from Big Fish Creative. The concept was simple. You stand in a circle and you brush the teeth of the person to your left for a minimum of five seconds.
Memphis broke the previous toothbrush circle record of 20 that was set June 26 in Topeka, Kan. The initial record was set June 21 in New York City.
