ATLANTA -

You came, you hugged, you voted... but was it enough? Yes!  Braves beloved first baseman Freddie Freeman is bound for the Big Apple and this year's MLB All-Star Game!

Just after 5 p.m., @MLB tweeted, "And the #FinalVote winners are ... @FreddieFreeman5 and @SteveDelabar_50!"

But he didn't just win.  Freeman earned the most votes of any player-- ever!  He recorded 19.7 million votes, which is a new all-time Final Vote record.  It breaks the record of 15.6 million votes set by Shane Victorino in 2009.

Final Vote allowed fans to select the last two All-Stars, one from the National League and one from the American League.  The player that receives the most votes from each league earns a trip to the MLB All-Star Game next week in New York.  In all, baseball fans cast a record 79.2 million votes, with 10.2 million of those coming via text message.

Freeman will be joined by Blue Jays pitcher Steve Delabar, who earned 9.6 million votes for the win in the American League.

Braves fans have been voting for days, and on Thursday, they got their chance on Twitter.  From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., every tweet that included the hashtag #VoteFreddie counted as one vote for Freeman.

Freeman's teammates were joined by faithful fans, local businesses, and even celebs in the final push on Twitter.  Georgia Governor Nathan Deal tweeted his support for Freeman, as did Atlanta Falcons players Roddy White and Sean Weatherspoon, and comedian Larry the Cable Guy.  And, during a stop at the FOX 5 Atlanta studios, Steve Harvey showed us his support for Freeman, holding up a #VoteFreddie sign and saying, "Let's get it done!"

The Twitter vote averaged 4,200 tweets per minute, with 24,660#FinalVote player tweets in the last minute of voting alone!

Thanks to everyone who pitched in and congrats to Freddie Freeman!
