Comedian Hal Sparks talks with Fox 2

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Comedy Zone, the comedy-club chain that opened in Southfield earlier this year, turns on the star power this weekend with shows by two funny guys who have earned big followings via TV and movies.

Actor-comic Hal Sparks, who got himself noticed as host of E's "Talk Soup" before tackling a dramatic role on Showtime's "Queer as Folk," takes the stage for five shows Thursday-Saturday.

Sparks, currently on Disney XD sitcom "Lab Rats," got his comedy start by studying with Chicago's Second City troupe.

 

Hal Sparks is performing at 8 p.m. Thursday, and at 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Tickets are $17.50.
