Do your kids go to bed at the same time each night?
Though it is summer and the kids are out of school, a new study shows putting your child to bed at the same time each night could help them in school and help improve their health.
The bed routines of 11,000 children ages 3, 5, and 7 were examined by British researchers. Of the children who did not have a consistent sleep routine, boys scored lower on intelligence assessment testing and girls scored lower in math and reading.
The study shows non-consistent bed times may cause sleep deprivation, which in turn could undermine brain power.
Sleep expert Sheree Malone of Baptist Hospital-DeSoto in northern Mississippi, an expert on child and sleep problems, joined FOX13 News to discuss the study.
