Dispatcher and bystander save child's life

CORDOVA, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Public Information Officer Brent Perkins of the Memphis Fire Department said they starting receiving multiple calls around 3:15 p.m. of a possible drowning at the Orleans Apartments at Houston Levee and Walnut Grove.

The dispatcher gave CPR instructions to a bystander which was administered until emergency vehicles arrived.

The child was transported to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in stable condition.

According to the PIO, the dispatcher and bystander saved the child's life.
