A 22-year-old man is in Shelby County jail after police found bomb-making materials inside his car.
Police charged Justin Leasure with public intoxication and possession of explosive components. He was arrested Sunday outside a Cordova convenience store after the store clerk called in a report that the man was waving a gun around.
According to police he had been locked out of the store and wanted back inside.
When police searched his car, they found a metal case with shotgun shells, gun powder, fireworks, scissors, tape and two plastic pipes.
