The son of former New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor was arrested in Cobb County over the weekend on statutory rape and sodomy charges.  Lawrence J. Taylor, Jr. was arrested early Sunday morning.

Police were called to a Powder Springs home regarding an alleged sexual assault about 11:45 p.m. Saturday. Once at the home, Powder Springs detectives spoke with two juvenile females, who both alleged inappropriate sexual contact with Taylor, Jr.
