Twenty-one-year-old Markeia Martin has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection to a shooting July 1 at the intersection of South Parkway and Latham in Memphis.
Martin was identified in a photographic lineup as the person responsible for shooting a 22-year-old victim. Police say Martin got into a verbal argument and fight at the intersection with the victim. The suspect fired off shots and left.
The victim was critically wounded.
Officers dispatched to the shooting were able to obtain registration information on the suspect's vehicle, and developed Martin as a suspect.
Martin was also charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $75,000.
She is due in Shelby County General Sessions Court Friday morning.
