MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

The Shelby County Health Department has confirmed three cases of Legionnaires Disease. They were all members of 24 Hour Fitness Gym in East Memphis.

The fitness center on Ridgeway near Park in East Memphis is still open, but the pool and spa have been closed until further notice.

Club members were coming and going on Wednesday as if nothing had happened.

The pool and spa are being completely sanitized and re-inspected by the Health Department.

The three confirmed cases are being treated and a warning was sent out to all members who used the spa or steam room between May 21st and June 21st.

Dr. Bo Adams says, while Legionnaires Disease can be serious, even fatal if not treated, treatment is simple and effective, "The symptoms are, you're short of breath, you're coughing, having fever, chills, hurting all over. It can be very non-specific. you may just think you are having the flu or something like that."

Club members that Fox13 spoke with say they are not too concerned about it.
