Son, 22, wanted for setting fire to parents' NW Atlanta home

ATLANTA -

Police are searching for 22-year-old Brendan Middleton, who allegedly set fire to his parents' home on Greystone Road last Monday night.

City of Atlanta fire officials released a photo a Middleton Wednesday, in hopes the general public can help them track him down.

Officers say Middleton was upset when he left the home in the 1800 block of Greystone Road late Monday. He later returned, kicked in the front door and at some point set fire to his parents' home.

Atlanta fire officials quickly put out the fire, saying that the rear of the house, including the kitchen and back door, sustained quite a bit of fire-related damage. Battalion Chief Stephen Hill would not comment on exactly how the fire was started.

FOX 5 News learned that Middleton's father cut his hand during a struggle and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for medical attention.

Police say Middleton will face several charges once he's apprehended.

Anyone with information as to Middleton's whereabouts should call the Georgia Arson Control number at 800-282-5804.
