Dentist busted driving on pills with son in the car
CORDOVA, Tenn. (FOX13) -
A Bartlett dentist is facing multiple charges after police say she was high with her five-year-old son in the car.
Michelle Ward was arrested Monday afternoon when ran over the curb at a Cordova McDonald's. A witness told police ward was slurring her speech and shaking inside her car. The little boy was in the back seat, but was not hurt.
According to court documents, Ward told police she had taken three prescription drugs earlier. Police also found a pill bottle with her brother in law's name on it. They say ward told them she prescribed the pills to herself.
She is being charged with Identity Theft, Public Intoxication, and Reckless Endangerment.
