Let's face it, sometimes our mothers can be overworked and under appreciated. What if we told you, there was a way to get a mommy makeover that included being pampered, polished and the whole nine yards?
What if we told you it wasn't going to break the bank?
There is and FOX13 found it.
Our mommy make-over started with Wendy Pittman and an echo oxygen facial.
Wendy is the mother of two and a soon to be grandma. She's almost fifty years old and wanted what the facial all the "A-listers" swear by.
"This is the thing Jennifer Aniston has done. I don't feel along that level. Everybody likes to be pampered a little bit," Wendy said.
"You can do this literally the morning of your wedding, the day before an event which is what the stars do," said Kate Gassaway, nurse practitioner at Solutions Medical Center.
Wendy just didn't want to pay what the stars do and she didn't. Gassaway told us a procedure like this in L.A. would cost $420 for a forty five (45) minute procedure.
At Solutions Medical Spa it's $120. "It leaves your skin glowing and dewy and it's like a drink of water for your skin," Gassaway said.
The next part of our mommy makeover took us to the Tennessee Academy of Cosmetology where all haircuts are $7.50. "It's kind of like we give it away, it's so cheap," said director Petunia Pettigrew.
Pettigrew says all the ladies are highly trained and skilled. "You could probably get a haircut, a perm, a manicure, pedicure, less than $50," she said.
Wendy got her hair styled for $10 and her make-up professionally applied for seven dollars $7. She says she was nervous at first and didn't know what to expect. In the end, she said she felt pretty.
"I think as moms we don't see ourselves that way. We see our beauty through our children," she said.
Now, Wendy see's both.
