Memphis Grizzlies guard Jerryd Bayless will stay in Memphis. He has exercised his player option and will return to the Grizzlies for the 2013-14 season.

Terms of the deal weren't released by the team. According to reports the player option would pay him $3.1 million. In one season with the Grizzlies, Bayless averaged 8.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists. His numbers were better in the playoffs where he averaged 9.3 points.

Forward Austin Daye will not return to the team next season. According to reports the Grizzlies have elected not to send a qualifying offer to Daye. The 6-foot-11 forward was not able to impress enough in his short time in Memphis. Obtained as part of the Tayshaun Prince deal, Daye averaged 4 points and around 10 minutes a game with the Grizzlies.
