Severe Thunderstorm Watch Posted Until 9 P.M.

There is once again a chance of severe weather in the Philadelphia area on Friday afternoon.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware is up until 9 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, several damaging wind gusts to 70 mph are possible.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.
