Stephens invited to play summer hoops with Miami

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Hours after he went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, former University of Memphis forward D.J. Stephens was invited to play the NBA Summer League with the 2-time defending champ Miami Heat.

Stephens told FOX13 News he will be leaving for Florida on Tuesday to join the Heat's summer league team.

Former Tiger sophomore Adonis Thomas was also undrafted Thursday night and is now a free agent. Friday evening Thomas tweeted (https://twitter.com/AllDayThomas/status/350757277810163712) that he has been invited to play Summer League basketball with the Atlanta Hawks.
