Real Estate Wars On The Main Line

HAVERFORD, Pa. -

You've heard of "Parking Wars." You've heard of "Storage Wars." Now, it's time for real estate wars.

This is a story that played out like a reality show; only it happened in real life in Haverford.

Andrea Straub's website says she's sold some of the finest properties on the Main Line.

But police say she and her husband, Jonathan, weren't on their finest behavior when they allegedly tried to sabotage the sale of their neighbor's house on Booth Lane.

The couple is accused of dumping dead animals in the driveway.

"I find it hard to believe in an upscale neighborhood such as this," says neighbor Mary Ellen Pruett.

According to Lower Merion Police, it was all caught on tape.

A camera was installed when the vandalism continued.

Police say the Straubs, who live right next door, were caught in the act.

Both are realtors, and their Haverford house is up for sale.

"From my experience with them, they are upright individuals who conduct themselves appropriately," says Morrie Schimmel, another neighbor.

Police say the camera caught the couple red-handed knocking over their neighbor's sale signs, cutting down branches, and even throwing a mouse and a snake into the yard.

"That's a crazy story; I see why you're here," says a third neighbor.

Straub and her husband have been cited with harassment and disorderly conduct.

No one answered the door at their million-dollar Main Line listing.

Neighbors say they're disappointed at the couple's alleged actions.

Especially since the woman who owns the vandalized home was in the hospital when the damage occurred.

"Ahh, that's horrible, that's horrible. I'm shocked, literally." said Pruett. "Literally shocked. I have no words. I'm shocked."

The Straubs didn't return FOX 29's calls.

Police say that when the couple was confronted they didn't deny the allegations and said the for sale signs were pretty tacky.
