As you're planning your BBQ menus for the Fourth of July, you may notice food prices have exploded like fireworks.
A lot of popular BBQ items are pricier this year than last, but there are some foods where the prices have gone down.
Droughts and feed costs have caused the prices of many items to increase:
-Ground beef is up 6 percent-Bread is up 4 percent-Chicken breast is up 25 percent-Potatoes are up 10 percent-Eggs are up 6 percent-Tomatoes are up 11 percent-Lettuce is up 4 percent
However, these items are less expensive this holiday:
-Hot dogs-Chips-Chicken thighs
