The Grassroots Alliance is hosting public forums the weekend to address the broken relationship between area law enforcement and Memphis residents.
It's a part of the community-police relations project.
More than 40 organizations are involved in the effort.
The first meeting to help the two sides come together was held this afternoon at the Union Grove Church in Frayser.
The organization says they want to help build a vision of what better relations between the community and law enforcement would look like, and then work toward that goal.
They plan to hold these forums every month.
