2 motorcyclists hit by teen's Jeep die in Utah

LOA, Utah (AP) - Authorities say two Arizona residents riding a Harley are dead after being struck by a 17-year-old boy's Jeep in Wayne County, Utah.

Utah Highway Patrol officials say the crash happened about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, after the Jeep overcorrected and ended up in oncoming lanes.

Officials say the Jeep struck two motorcycles, killing two 64-year-olds on a Harley and injuring a 49-year-old man on another motorcycle. The surviving man's gas tank was ruptured, and both that bike and the Jeep burst into flames.

Troopers identified the people who died as Diane and Bill Mitchell of Tucson. The third motorcyclist, who's also from Tucson, was taken to the Sevier Valley Medical Center.

The teenager from Loa, Utah, was ejected from his Jeep and was also taken to the hospital.
