Drug-laden vehicle with fake decals seized in Ariz

Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Federal authorities say they've seized more than 900 pounds of marijuana in southern Arizona from a vehicle that had fake U.S. Fish and Wildlife decals.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents seized the vehicle Wednesday and say fake uniforms were found inside.

Douglas Station agents working near Elfrida tried to stop a vehicle they suspected was being used to smuggle narcotics.

The driver and passenger fled to evade arrest.

A short time later, agents found the truck, which was loaded with 933 pounds of marijuana in bundles.

The marijuana had an estimated street value of more than $466,000.

Border Patrol officials say two Mexican men were arrested and turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Their names weren't immediately released.
