PHOENIX (AP) - A founder of the Minuteman border-watch movement was denied bail after his arrest in Arizona on allegations that he sexually abused two 6-year-old girls and a 5-year-old girl over the last several months.

Among the allegations faced by 52-year-old Christopher Allen Simcox is that he persuaded a 6-year-old girl to show her genitals to him for candy and urged the child not to tell her mother about it.

Simcox denied all of the abuse allegations during a police interview.

Simcox was denied bailed by Maricopa County Court Commissioner Barbara Ann Hamner late Wednesday night because Simcox was suspected of sexually abusing children under age 15.

Such allegations make Simcox ineligible for bail in Arizona.

It's unclear whether Simcox has a lawyer.
