Posted: Updated:
CORDOVA, Tenn. (FOX13) -

An arrest in a shooting outside a Cordova McDonalds has been made.

This morning Donta Wilson is in the Shelby County jail and is charged with attempted murder.

Police say Wilson admitted to them that it  was his car that was used in the shooting and he was at the shooting scene but denied actual involvement in the shooting.

Police tracked the car after video surveillance caught it on camera fleeing the scene of the shooting.

Police say the victim may have been meeting two men in the parking lot of the Trinity Commons McDonalds to buy a cell phone. He was shot multiple times and taken to The Med in critical condition.

While Wilson denies pulling the trigger, he told police someone paid him for the use of his vehicle.

His bond has been set at 750-thousand dollars.
