Police need help catching domestic violence suspect

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

Police say the victim, a twenty year old female is no longer in critical condition but still very scared. This crime happened almost a week ago on Thursday June 6th and the suspect has not been caught. Memphis Police tell Mid-South Most Wanted the woman went to a home on the 4600 hundred block of Deluth to get some things that belonged to her. That's when her ex-boyfriend Tavarie Williams grabbed her and used a knife to hold her against her will for several hours.The 34-year-old Williams is accused of beating her. Somehow the victim was able to escape and get to the Delta Medical Center where the police were called. Her injuries were so bad that she had to be rushed to The Med. The police want to have Williams arrested. MPD Sergeant Alyssa Macon-Moore says, it is unknown exactly why he lost his cool but the victim was severely beaten because of it. Sergeant Macon-Moore says this is a domestic violence case and Williams will be charged with attempted second degree murder and aggravated kidnapping.If you know where Tavarie Williams is call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-cash.
